VicPlas entered a new chapter after being successfully listed on Singapore Stock exchange as Vicplas International Ltd. VicPlas Holdings was converted to a fully owned subsidiary of the listed entity.
VicPlas relocated to a newly purchased factory at Fan Yoong Road and remained focused on its expansion strategies. Shortly uPVC pipe extrusion was added into its product’s portfolio. Later that year, Malaysia further expanded operations and relocated to a bigger factory in Johor Bahru.
A factory was established in Johor Bahru Malaysia to capture the market across the causeway.
VicPlas was founded by two friends Victor Loh and Eric Cheng. In its humble beginnings, the company operated off a small rented factory with 2 injection moulding machines and 5 general workers producing uPVC fittings. While Victor Loh looked after the financial and marketing aspects of the company, Eric Cheng was in charge of operations and quality management. Each in their unique ways, both founders created synergies and rapidly expanded the business
