RESISTANCE TO CORROSION
uPVC pipes and fittings exhibit excellent resistance to corrosion. Unlike metallic pipes and pipe fittings, uPVC will not corrode if subjected to long term exposure to waste water.
VicPlas’ pipes are therefore resistant to a wide range of industrial waters and chemicals. It can offer an advantage in the long-term systems life and manufacture cost.
EASY INSTALLATION
Installation is quick and easy with a complete line of fittings either with the solvent glue weld sockets or the rubber seal socket joints.
In either case, a leak-proof joint is assured. Subsequent maintenance work is also carried out with a minimum of complication and costs.
WEATHER RESISTANCE
VicPlas uPVC Pipes and Fittings are formulated with additives to enhance its weathering resistance.
There are negligible impacts to its mechanical and physical properties even if subjected to prolonged UV exposure.
FIRE RESISTANCE
Because of chemical structure, uPVC does not support burning thus an ideal selection for electrical installations.
LIGHT WEIGHT
uPVC pipes are relatively light. Their specific gravity is between 1.45 to 1.50 is one-fifth (1/5) that of steel pipes. This reduces transportation costs and simplifies site installations.
LOW FLOW LOSSES
Because of their smooth internal surface, uPVC pipes have minimum flow head losses. There is also no build-up of inside deposits,. This is an advantage in the construction of sewage systems.
